Founded by heart parents and families from the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) community, MAJJK Heart Family Foundation exists to close the gaps in care for pediatric cardiac patients and the people who love them.
We are MAJJK.
Five children. Five families. One CVICU community that became something more.
MAJJK was born from months (in some cases, more than a year) spent inside a children's hospital, watching families face not just the fear of a child's heart condition, but the invisible weight of financial strain, emotional isolation, and gaps in care that the medical system was never built to fill.
Our foundation carries the names of five children, and the memory of one we lost in September 2025. This work is for her, and for every family still in the fight.
Our Mission
The MAJJK Heart Family Foundation partners with pediatric cardiac programs to close the critical gaps in care experienced by families during extended inpatient hospitalization: making mental health support accessible, providing direct financial assistance to families in crisis, and funding the research and innovation that changes long-term outcomes.

We are committed to keeping overhead low and directing the maximum possible share of every dollar to the families we serve.
MAJJK Heart Family Foundation has applied for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status with the IRS. Under IRS rules, when our exemption is approved, it is recognized retroactively to the date the organization was formed. Which means donations made now will be fully tax-deductible once approval is received. We are operating in good faith as a tax-exempt organization while our application is pending.
